Biography:
Murtuza is an artist and photographer. Since 1996, Murtuza has been using digital technologies – cameras and computers – as a medium to capture, create and expand his artistic visions.
Artist’s Statement:
I am irresistibly drawn to imagery that displays a certain timeless quality…frozen in a perfect moment in time. Or to capture a slow, timeworn quality. The subtle gradations of light, color and texture – that is what I look for.
Nature permeates the most concrete environments that we create – I like to capture those traces of nature.
Also, working in a series enables me to offer different perspectives on the the same subject.
Photography, on the basis of your vision and skills, can give dew the appearance of a string of pearls, to rain, a scattering of gems; elevate an ordinary rock to a monumental sculpture, or imbue a countenance with the depths of it’s character.
